Euso is a telescope looking at the nitrogen fluorescence induced by the shower made by high energy cosmic rays in earth atmosphere. Set on the ISS, it surveys a cercle on earth of 400 km diameter, with a one km resolution. After a successful phase A, ESA set the project to sleep for very long period. JAXA and NASA re-start the project under the name JEM-EUSO with some improvements.
