The High Resolution Fly's Eye (HiRes) Experiment has observed the GZK cutoff. This is the limitation on the energy of cosmic rays of extragalactic origin that is caused by photopion interactions between cosmic ray protons and photons of the cosmic microwave background radiation. The experiment, data analysis, results, and esimate of the systematic uncertainties will be described.
