The thermal history of the universe before the epoch of nucleosynthesis is unknown. The largest temperature in the radiation-dominated era, which we will refer to as the reheat temperature, may have been as low as 1 MeV. In this talk we will show that this simple observation has a tremendous impact on many topics in cosmology such as particle dark matter, axion cosmology and baryogenesis.
