I will present a new method for reconstructing initial conditions of numerical simulations and observations of large scale structure which will satisfy a prescribed set of nonlinear constraints at the current epoch. This method, Perturbative Least Action (PLA) is similar to traditional least action approaches, except that orbits of particles are found as expansions around previously determined and physically motivated orbits. This perturbative approach allows one to investigate a many different sets of initial conditions and to compare their relative likelihood.
